Esperanza Gathering Place

Individual and Group therapy, equine therapy, retreats, trainings, counseling intensives.  This is the menu of care available in the sublime surroundings of the Greenhorn Valley.

Research in trauma recovery has validated what many of us have known all along, that working in the soil can bring tremendous healing to the nervous system and the spirit.  Esperanza is a verdant garden and farm venue, and garden therapy is a wonderful component of intensives as well as a supplement to equine therapy modules.  We provide fresh produce to local food banks and hope to host an annual "gather your own bouquet" event for all who can come - festive and fun.

Esperanza Equine exists to provide affordable therapy to clients through partnership with horses and the natural world.  It cultivates embodied healing and growth through a mutually respectful, gentle process of discovery and care.  It is particularly effective for trauma, but any need is welcome.

Esperanza is a literal gathering place from our Esperanza flock!  We have chickens!  We hatch chicks!  We sell fresh eggs and also seek to provide for those in the valley who are food insecure.  Our gardens and our chickens are places for you to plant, cultivate, grow, play - - with the intention of serving our local community.

Art Therapy, Poetry Therapy and Somatic work can be a rich addition to retreats and counseling intensives.
